how it grows
the reef
Sixty-four stones on one sea floor. Each can hold one coral. A season lasts 28 days; then that reef is kept on chain as it ended, and a new one starts the next day on 64 bare stones.
a polyp
Once a UTC day you may add one polyp to your coral. It costs 1,000 $REEF: 80% is burned, 20% goes into this week's spawn. The price never changes.
your coral
Your first polyp of a season picks your coral — any bare stone, or any bleached coral. A wallet tends one coral a season.
fading and bleaching
Miss a day and your coral fades. Miss two days in a row and it bleaches: from then on anyone without a coral this season can take it over. Their polyps grow on top of yours; your polyps stay in the stem.
the spawn
Every 7 days the reef spawns. That week's spawn is shared equally by every wallet that added a polyp on all 7 days of it. Claim yours any time after the week ends. If nobody grew all 7 days, anyone can roll it into the week in progress.
the calendar
Day 1 is the hour the token goes live. Spawns land on days 7, 14, 21 and 28. Day 29 is season two.
what the contract cannot do
Hold ETH, change the price, pay anyone but a grower who earned it, pause, or be upgraded. The owner key names the token once and can do nothing after that.
the risk
Unaudited. Tokens you spend on polyps are gone — 80% burned on the spot. The spawn is only as big as the week's growing.
